Our final proper day of riding (if you discount a blast on the motorway back to Sydney) took us over Mount Hotham and through a substantial section of the Omeo Highway, Victoria’s first gazetted state highway.

Day 8 – The Return From Tassie – Melbourne to Harrietville
Having sadly left the wonderful state of Tasmania, our trip was not over yet. A Melbourne bikers favourite of the Black Spur, torrential rain and a beautiful twisting road through yet another national park awaited us today.

Every so often Australia manages to have some public holidays conveniently close together. This year, Easter fell right next to the week of Anzac Day meaning 3 days of leave from work meant 10 days of holidays, the joy! Therefore we decided to head to Tasmania.
